Words & Images

Just when we're ready to move on to the next thing, yesterday two different people alerted me to Gemini's ability to generate images based upon text fed into it. Well.

This is me, based on the blog's description at the top:

This one is based on the WHAT ABOUT BOB? description in the sidebar. It shows me descending the celestial firepole on wings of slack, with Petey looking on:

Another view, sans wings:

Here's one depicting the divine slack of the Christian Subgenius; the tombstone must symbolize ego death & rebirth:

Channeling the roaring torrent of O into the feeble stream of cyberspace, hoping for a handout from Petey:

.Could I do this all day? Pretty much

"The empty center is Beyond-Being. The circles are dimensions of Being. Your life is a path for the Spirit to pass from periphery to center. Thoughts and choices -- truth and virtue":

SHIT YEAH, WE SUPPORT THE LIL' GAGDAD COSMIC ACHIEVERS:

EL BOB GAGDAD RACCOON CELEBRITY CENTRE AND FOUNDATION FOR SOMEWHAT USEFUL KNOWLEDGE, BISMARCK:

TONGA BRANCH:

Floating in His Cloud-Hidden Bobservatory, Inside the Centers for Spiritual Disease Control and Pretension:

Some random others:

Raccoon Subgenius:

I like those; much better than the ones Firefly came up with.
Now if you want to put it to music, you could have a lot of fun with Udio.

That's assuming you have nothing else to do all day...

Wow, feeling some simultaneous awe and melancholy here. Imagine the multi-month contract you would have to engage with some neo-hipster graphic designer to get these illustrations for your next book project. Instead, Gemini did it just like that for free in no time. I still say we are doomed. Christian anarchism to the rescue!

It is amazing, but there's still a human element that is usually missing. AI is becoming a great tool, but is still just that. Very handy for illustrating frequent blog posts, though, and a lor easier than slogging through pages of stock photos trying to find the one that most closely matches your written point.

*lot

If the bar for the human element does not get lowered, which it does, and as such AI meets the need for the mediocrity of the human automaton.

I can never tell if it's the end of the blog or just the end of a cycle, but for the moment I have nothing to add. I'm reading yet another pedantic and uninspiring book that is provoking no blogworthy ruminations.

At least you're not letting Gemini sit in as guest blogger.

Suddenly I'm thinking about going to Tonga again.
