Rectifying? I don't know. I'm only up to p. 39, but I'm with the Aphorist on this one:
Christianity does not solve "problems": it merely obliges us to live them at a higher level.
The impossibility of finding solutions teaches us that we should devote ourselves to ennobling the problems
Christianity never claimed and will not claim, if it revives, to be the kingdom of God. Only a society of Christian sinners.
Christianity never taught that history would have a purpose. Only an end.
And it ends in every baptism, i.e., in every person who dies and is reborn in Christ, which is in turn a new beginning and end. And beginning. Just not here.
Can't find it, but the Aphorist also says something to the effect that Christianity is the only doctrine that predicts its own failure. Not just vis-a-vis a fall that can never be collectively undone, but in the book of Revelation, which speaks of the death of the present world. This in itself is a rather Large Subject, but let's stipulate that
Civilizations are the work of those who assign man a transmundane end. Their destruction is the work of those who assign him an earthly destiny.
The latter going to progressives and their endless wrecktifications that are worse than the problems, because they never address the Problem, which is to say, man. Thus,

We're already running short on time, but I do agree with what Bailie says in the preface, that "The Cross of Christ has left a crater at the center of history," to which "everything before and after... is ordered and properly understood."
A bold statement no doubt, but it goes to "the meaning of creation itself, from whom the drama of salvation emanates and toward whom it moves."
I would call it a still-smoking crater, and on a more abstract plane the cosmic attractor in vertical phase space -- to say "God made man" is rather like saying End made middle, a middle that is always here and now.
Does this mean I am -- and you are -- this same smoking crater from the Creator passing through history?
We'll see.

Have to agree, all due respect to Bailie but there is no "rectifying" this situation.
You can't get the toothpaste back in the tube, the 19th amendment is here to stay, and whatever we think about clown world right now, wishing it were otherwise will never make it so. All we can ever truly do as individuals is try as much as possible to live as we ought in the circumstances we are given, which actually isn't so terrible most of the time.
I was looking through this blog on the topic of circumcision and your thoughts on it. And I basically found nothing, except that when it's done to females it's considered barbaric "genital mutilation."
Upon doing some research on male circumcision, I've found that the foreskin actually contains 100s of thousands of nerves and is the most sensitive part of the penis. Also the frenulum, which is the male g spot and equivalent to the female clitoris, located under the glands (head), is also generally cut off in cultures that practice circumcision.
Freud said circumcision was created as a substitute for child sacrifice, in that if they can't take a life, they'll just take a very important part of the body that the child needs for living a full life.
Why is it that so call Christians have sold out to the genital mutilation cult called Judiasim? Wonder why the Jews are the most shunned ethnicity and culture in the world? Maybe it's because they cut their own children right after birth, and that's reason enough to get away from them.
Circumcision has been sold to us as cutting off useless skin for prophylactic reasons, and that there's no consequences to emotional and sexually development. This is absolutely a lie. I would maintain that all children that have their nerves cut out right after birth are permanently traumatized, and some so bad they never recover. Then the doctors make money on the surgery, and then sell the skin to companies that make rejuvenating skin care cream, like some vampires.
Wonder why the west is falling? Why men are weakened, population rates falling, testosterone at lowest levels ever? Maybe it has to do with the fact that Christianity in the west has failed to protect us from the genital cutting cult that runs Hollywood, banking, and now the medical industry. It looks like social engineering on a mass scale to keep males docile, neurotic, and easily conquerable.
Lots of fake Christians out there cutting their children, and they deserve neither a nation or those children who came into the world as they should be. Christianity has failed and sold out to the child sacrifice cult. Jesus was supposed to be the last blood shed. Evidently not, as males in the U.S. have no right to bodily autonomy, and are disposable, expendable, violently sexually abused as soon as the enter the world by the very people that claim to be saved from all this mess.
So of course the west is failing. All this religion and metaphysics means nothing.

This is the typical reaction I get everywhere I go. It seems that cutting out infants nerve centers is just a joke. No progressives don't decapitate, or progressives castrate. But I bet they're all circumcised. Cutting the nerve endings out of the penis reduces the sexual impulse to a mere urge, like energy trapped in the lower center with no where to go.
This trapping can cause all kinds of neurodegenerative diseases and anti social behavior. Notice the porn industry consist of mainly cut men trying to satisfy something that can't be satisfied. You're basically unplugging the sex organ from the higher centers and the brain. How stupid and perverted.
According Moses Maimonides, cutting was designed to weaken the organ, along with associating the penis with pain, which causes lifelong shame:

Yet it's ok in American culture to cut little infant boys, who btw have no say in the matter, which is a massive human rights issue that we have the right to bodily autonomy taken away from us without any consent, and to the detriment of our entire lives.
This should be a no brainer really. But it's a religion. And a cult. And I repeat, western civilization doesn't deserve to survive, because they're actually still barbaric genital cutting culture that deserves to die.

Civilizations fall after the common citizen gets completely disempowered and the corruption inherent in a ruling class trickles down to the common culture. All the greed and cynisicm and machiavellian disgrace and utter disregard for anybody else less powerful becomes the norm. Happens to the best of us. Disneyland, Fox News… and even our favorite good intentions paved road, socialism.
So when somebody yells: “The barbarians are coming!” the common citizen mumbles: “Rome schrome, at least I got my chickens”. (for the simpler folk, it’s when nobody believes in the ‘greatness’ of their tribe anymore, only in saving their own asses).
I once believed that Christians would make the very best dectectives. That was because I assumed they’d believe all the way down to their deepest unconcsious centers, that this life is but a transitory dust speck of a pop quiz and that their true lives actually lie out there in the great salvation beyond forever and ever in Christ Jesus.
IOW, they wouldn’t sweat the small stuff. Being strong enough to be ‘turn the other cheek’, they’d be clearer thinkers and judgers, than the emotionally compromised who get triggered over minutuae like "woke" and "OMG A TRANNY!".
But then I started noticing that increasing numbers of Christians were just virtue signalling, actually making the most of every material moment, and sometimes in the most sinful of ways. Sorta like in that scene from Gangs of New York where Bill the Butcher prays to Jesus for his own personal racist gangster victory. “Uh no, Bill, religion isn’t supposed to be a get out of hell free card, just so you can double down on enjoying being the stabbing baddie. Shouldn’t you be doing a Cross and Switchblade contrition scene right about now?”
So anyways, this counterworld of which we speak seems to need some work. Just sayin. Because lots of others seem to be noticing.
