More Brain Droppings

Just some more aphorisms I've been toying with...

Race, class, and gender are shorthand for the reduction of essence to existence, subject to subjection, bee to hive.

"Social justice" was invented to enable losers and criminals to launder their envy, hatred, and destructiveness.

The left declares war on the very hierarchy that is the cause and consequence of liberty and equality.

Progressivism: a lawsuit against the real on behalf of the perfect.

Crimes of the left are purified of their criminality by the angels of good intention.

In the left's war on civilization, language is a battlefield: words are the POWs, concepts the wounded, and souls the dead.

In order justify its greed for power, it is prudent for the state to attempt the impossible. Its inevitable failure justifies the seizure of more power.

Liberation and social justice, AKA chaos and theft.

Direct assaults on liberty are more difficult than attacks on the order that renders it possible.

White liberals will never forgive black conservatives for having no need of them.

The left is always clamoring for an honest conversation about race. In order to smoke out and denounce the honest.

There's no White Privilege like the privilege of pretending it exists in order to gain more of it.

Progressivism: time become demonic.

Denying the existence of evil is naive, but comprehensive schemes to abolish it are diabolical.

I have a theory called Climate Stasis. It's also always wrong.

Does God require narrativity because history exists, or vice versa?

The left isn't abandoning colorblindness because it failed but because it succeeded.

Even in dreams we are "in" a world. Just watch the news.

There exists an eminent contingency in God: his creativity.

To say time is an illusion is to say there is no essential distinction between concrete facts and abstract possibilities, or in other words, nothing is possible.

You will never find a more relentless spewing of negativity than what is found in this post. Apparently there is a demon-driven war on civilization in progress; the fighting evidently has not spread to my precinct yet. All quiet on the Western Front.

Has anybody seen the POW's, wounded, and dead generated by this diabolical war? Yes? No? Any bayonet charges? Artillery barrages?

This post is poppycock. And it approaches breaking the first dictum of spiritual life, which is: "Do anything except despair."

For God's sake Gagdad, have a beer. And end your retirement pronto; it is not good for you obviously.

The truest way to determine intelligence, of person or organization, is to observe the percentage of their predictions which come true. Modern conservatives and conservatism (as opposed to old school varieties) has a very poor track record of late. This used to be the domain of the socialists. I think it happens when ideology becomes "absolute truth".

And January 6th was the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.

Joe, you may have a point there, the unauthorized tour of the Capitol building conducted on January 6th wasone for the ages....

Democracy was definitely wobbling in those dark days. Then cooler heads pulled the plug on further Tweets from POTUS and *poof* that threat vanished like mist in the sun. Lesson learned. These new media platforms can be de-stabilizing.

Gaddafi found that out during his Arab Spring downfall.

The Internet, jeez. Can't live with it, can't live without it.

But my point is this; it is said that trying to create Utopia is harmful. I'm saying we've already done it. Things are about as good as they can get for a lot of people.

A couch can only be so comfortable, a stomach can only hold so much food, and the entertainment on TV can only be so amusing. And I say we've nearly maxed a lot of that out.

And the weed, OMG the weed. Anyone who grew up in the 70's knows Utopia is now and it is sticky as h*ll.

Joe, it was all antifa. And BLM wearing whiteface. And there are videos proving this. And I predicted these things along with a great many Christian profits. You can send me some seed money today if you wish to not burn in hell.

And Julie has laid down her prediction about climate change. I'll be pondering this after I get back from my Northwest Passage cruise.

Do you actually read, anon?

The Bible. Every day. Send me your seed money or everything you even think about gonna fail.

You have a very selective reading of the Bible, Anon.

A very insightful post. Those that say it is full of negativity have not refuted a letter of it. Only ad-hominem attacks and multiple fallacies

As left-wing thinker called Eduardo Galeano said "There are old people that look at the mirror and, when they see their old and ugly faces, think: This mirror is very negative"

Confucius said it better: "When the sage points to the moon, the imbecile looks at the finger"

Bob's aphorisms non-withstanding, the actual threat to our culture is not coming from the left, but coming from a different direction. There is a growing problem of "too much of a good thing" or even simply "too much."

Scarcity, and the presumption of scarcity has driven human behavior since before we were even human. It is the the law of the natural world. Animals are always up against scarcity and they compete to exist. We have always been like that too. Nature, red of tooth and claw, has been the mistress we constantly had to prove our fitness to.

Enter the present era, what we now call the Anthropocene. This is the age of man. Our species has become so prominent and pervasive it defines this age. Multi-billions of people on all continents.

It used to be the huddled third world masses lived in squalor, but tour the world today and you can still find pockets of squalor but for the most part things are looking good. The traveling American is humbled somewhat that formerly dusty backwater republics like, say, Libya, now have some dang nice cities that exceed many American ones for cleanliness and services.

Utopia, defined as a community which offers a desirable or perfected life for citizens, is here now in some places and will soon be everywhere else too.

Safe, orderly neighborhoods, well-stocked markets, full bellies, children sitting around the elders and listening to them describe how things used to be - all this we have. There is nothing else to achieve.

And yet, wealth upon wealth will soon pile up overhead like snow on the rafters. The commercial adventurers just won't stop until everyone is a billionaire. Until there is no scarcity to be found. Scarcity is scarce and getting scarcer.

There's where the hurt comes. We don't know how to live without scarcity. It will be very deforming to our culture to have to do so. Excess wealth will become a problem. What to do with it all?

I think I've figured out why this site is so boring.

The author thinks of himself as great wit, and he does sometimes manage to get off a funny insult or well-turned pun. But it's always the same crap, inveighing against "the left" without even minimal engagement with the reality of the left, or reality at all. It's just some kind of demonic projection.

That makes it ultimately sterile and futile. You can tell the author isn't thinking creatively, although he thinks he is. It's been the same shit for years, reinforcing a set of prejudices and resentments.
