I presume you are no longer "the out of control woman in need of a spanking?" But, if that still holds, that's OK too.

We are sister beings, and I dig your primordial slack. I am a piece of work, I know it, I know I'm out of control and could use a spanking. Strike and strike hard; it feels good. In other words, stuff we can all look at and agree on as factual. There is a lot of stuff, it is vary solid, it will tend to look, smell, and taste the same to various individuals, etc.

The God-lover has no such body of solid evidence. What evidence there is, lacks inter-subjectivity. The case is always flimsy and gauzy, dependent on the vagaries of thought and not anchored by the senses.

The materialist has become complacent and used to winning debates, because of the quality of the evidence. This holds out until some kind of miracle occurs, and then the materialist loses, as a supra-physical actor or agent immediately negates the materialist position.

The ancients had burning bushes, parting seas, voices from on high, chariots of fire, etc. We today could use some large scale miracles so we can finally stick it to the materialists and shut them down.

Miracles these days tend to be fleeting and small, and don't rise to the scale needed to blast those pesky pundits like Maher out of the water.

This state of affairs won't last forever. We'll get our big miracle, for the win.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8580258.post-7413955799430421352018-04-25T11:26:38.910-07:002018-04-25T11:26:38.910-07:00And Jesus would never say this (just generated quo...And Jesus would never say this (just generated quotes from here):

"The future projects onto subjective potentiality"

"Death is inherent in humble actions"

"The unpredictable influences pure mysteries"

tedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07354048695798015131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8580258.post-70126563404141493382018-04-25T11:23:30.526-07:002018-04-25T11:23:30.526-07:00Deepak Chopra and Jesus can say the same things, a...Deepak Chopra and Jesus can say the same things, and yet, one is an idiot.

It's like when someone from the left and the right cite the Constitution. Being able to mouth the words doesn't at all mean the speaker understands them; the depth (or lack thereof) is revealed by the context. Chopra may say something true one moment, but then draw from that truth a crooked conclusion in the next. Christ, being Truth, never does this.

The difference between reading about anxiety and having an anxiety attack is more or less infinite. Trust me.
Ugh - indeed.juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15975754287030568726noreply@blogger.com
