When I look back on my life and see what I was like at age 20 or 30 or 40 (I am 63) I cringe. I also thank God for the gift of Jesus Christ and the salvation freely offered. If I had killed myself at any age (I don't doubt I will look back at age 63 and see myself as considerably less than righteous) I would, at best, be frozen in that time with no hope of salvation as I would have made a deliberate choice to halt any advance toward such a state.
